I have two concerns that I think are fairly easy for you boost guys to address:

1.) So the bad news is that I dont have as much free time for the Eaton swap as I was hoping. The good news is that I can get a bunch of work done while the car is still driveable and do it bit by bit as time permits. Intercooler pump, reservior, some plumbing, heat exchanger, exhaust, etc. That way when I finally do get a chance to rip the stock intake off, a good chunk of the work is already done.

My question is can I install the 40 amp BAP and Ford GT supercar fuel pump and still be ok to drive the car in stock form? im thinking the BAP is ok since I can just leave it turned off and and the 12V power will just pass through to the fuel pump. Not sure about the fuel pump though since its rated for higher volume.

2.) I sent my blower to Stiegeimier for stage 1 porting and it came back looking amazing! Im also getting a custom 2.5" exhaust with high-flow cats made for the Eaton swap.
With these two power-adding mods, Im a little concerned that using a +2 lb pulley on the crank wil make too much power. The key for me on this build is driveability/reliability. But I'm also worried that a standard pulley (+zero lbs if i have to call it something) wont be enough boost. I have not seen a +1 lb pulley anywhere. What do you guys think is a good way to go?

I don't think the fuel pump would be much of a concern and you can mount the BAP and run all the wiring but skip the final tie in.

Go with the +2 ring.

^^^^^ What he said. ^^^^^

If you don't go nuts on the upper pulley size, (stay between a 3.2" and 3.6"), you'll be between 10 and 14 lbs boost, and even with the Stiegy Stage 1, should be somewhere around 430 to 450 rwhp (my guess).

Perfect! +2 ring it is. I plan on using the stock upper pulley, whatever diameter it is...

that combo should get you to 9-10psi 13's in 1/4mile about 17mpg if you can keep your foot lite

Why 17 MPG? Mine went up 2 MPG with the Trilogy and an aggresive tune. It's all in the drivability part of the tune he gets. My 4.30 gear dropped me back down to 20 MPG cruising at 75.

I'm averaging between 19 and 22 mpg on the highway with my Eaton swap running 65-70 mph with 4.10s and 11 lbs boost (stock upper and 2 lb lower) with a moderately conservative tune; however, I CAN get it down to less than 14 if I keep my foot in it... ;)

I get 17 on the highway @ 70mph, 13lbs, twin screw, 5.0 stroker & Crower cams. No clue what it gets "in town" @ WOT....err, I mean driving.:D :burnout:

I can get 24-25 mpg on road trips @ 70 mph

Only get 16 ish around town since I life 2.5 miles from work. But hey, a tank of gas will last me almost 3 weeks sometimes.

I dont expect those numbers to get better once the swap is done.

Ya know it's amazing how someone can spent $6,000 for a blower, more on all the other items and then worry about gas Mileage! If you really look at it lets say you would lose 3 MPG, hmmm maybe another $2.00 to $5.00 per week extra on the high side to have a MEAN machine! To be blunt if your that cheap you shouldn't be investing all that time and money into the car! Same way with the gears, if ya caught afford it get a Honda or some other beater. Geeeezzz Just my little rant about some of the questions, I'M GONNA GET BAD MILEAGE! LOL wait till he blows it up!

I GUARANTEE those numbers won't get better unless you're a lot more disciplined driver than most of us guys with boost... ;) --------> :D

Actually, if I do manage to keep my foot out of it, I'll get between 20 and 22.5 on the highway and 14 to 15 in town, but the latter numbers are usually a lot closer to 12 (MY fault, not the car's... :o), especially if I hit a lot of stoplights :burn:(I don't like going fast, just enjoy getting there quick!)

I thought I would get pretty good mileage until I started driving this beast. It's been a couple months and to be honest the only way I could ever drive this thing with a light foot would be to put a block under the pedal. I go through a tank every other weekend. Did I mention I only drive it on weekends :)
