I WILL PAYPAL THE FIRST PERSON $150.00 IFYOU CAN SOLVE THIS SIMPLE PROBLEM THAT IS NOT SO SIMPLE. My 04 marauder will not go into ready mode for emmissions. There are no codes and no errors. The egr has gone ready but no o2's . They have up and down stream communication. Even sct is scratching. The motor is an alluminator with a Trillogy . 90 maf sct3000. 60 lb injectors and all is turned on. Your thoughts

look for a broken wire in the wire bundle behind the driver side cam cover. I could sure use $150.

Its very possible the ECU is losing voltage to keeps it's memory alive. It should have continues voltage even with key off. I had that problem with a customers car once. It turned out to be a blown fuse that supplied voltage to ECU. Check all fuses no matter what the description of the circuit is for the fuse first.
If it fixes the problem, donate the $$$ to a cancer charity.

so if the 02 sensors are reading and go into closed loop mode, and you see all this via the DLC connector/ECM then something in the ECM is bad,

or the 02 sensors are not going closed loop so replace them.

Come on $150

Give me the motor and I will give you a stock MM motor. Mine will pass. In LA we give the guy $10.00 and get the inspection sticker. No monitors No testing No bullshxt.

What is this emissions testing thing you speak of?

Wiring shorts are the worse thing to track down. I know this doesn't help you however my solution to emissions concerns move 50 miles west were only safety insp are required.

It's probably a bad ground going to the ECM. I had an Audi TT in my shop that had a similar problem.

Engine temperatur may not be getting high enough to turn on the System. Also if you read/clear codes from ECM the car has to have so many keys starts and successfull drive cycles or it says "system not ready" (which here counts as a failure). Prevents people from clearing the light/codes and running down for a test.

Usually the ECM needs a few key starts and about 15-20 mins of steady driving to get a complete pass for the smog test.
