03 Black, 71k miles, 6k on new motor

Selling my '03 Marauder 300A, #3608. Black with charcoal leather. 71k miles on car but only about 6k miles on remanufactured Marauder long block (installed April '11 @ 64,500 miles). Motor has 3 year/ 100k mile warranty. Magnaflow mufflers, K&N FIPK, Steeda Underdrive pulleys, intake spacer. Runs great and is strong; no smoke, no drips. Just started seeing temp rise if I idle too long. Input I got from the site is either air in coolant system or sticking thermostat. Car comes with SCT Xcal3 tuner from Alternative Performance (Lidio tune) and set of 4" Megs resonator delete tips.

Rear tires have about 6k miles on them (stock BFG's). New front brakes last month. Just had mechanic fix "wacky wipers", installed new wiper motor and installed updated Ford wiper stalk. Interior is in nice shape. Previous owner had small dog who chewed on rear seatbelt latches. They work fine but don't look so great.

Paint is in pretty good shape. Shines-up nice but has some chips here and there with a little clearcoat peel on the hood. Previous owner drove through some gray paint on road that I never got around to removing. Not bad at all, but on a clean, black car, you notice it on the rocker panel. I was going to have rims redone as clearcoat is coming up. Again, not bad but up close it doesn't look too good. Will need new front tires, which I may do before sale, depending on how long it takes to sell. There is a small dent on the rear passenger door, maybe size of a half-dollar. No paint chip, just dent. I'll try to get a picture of it.

Asking 11,900, and it's pretty firm considering the miles, newer motor with warranty and other money I have into the car since I bought it in June 2009. Car is in central NJ. I'm confident it could be driven home pretty much anywhere. PM with questions or request for more pics. -Doug

Yeah man, I'm sorry. I have a shot at my dream car and my MM sale will finance it. Besides, I already have a toy. I found I was treating my MM like a toy too and I can't afford 2. I love my old cars!

I'm glad I got to own this awesome car. It was a great experience. And this site just makes the car that much better. It's bitter-sweet, that's for sure.

I know Mark, sorry man. I've had a '72 Olds since 1992. That's my "toy". The MM was supposed to be a cool back-up car for me. The problem is that my mod list keeps growing....for my 2nd toy! I can't have both, it's making me nuts. My Olds has all but been abandoned and I clearly like the old cars more than the new. So, in order to get my focus back, I gotta prioritize.

I'm actually selling my '72 Olds too. Clearing house for (potentially) my all-time dream car that I've got a shot at. If I get it, look for the announcement. Fingers-crossed.

I'm actually no longer selling my Olds ('72 Cutlass Supreme, 2D hardtop, buckets/console, .030"over Rocket 350, 350 turbo w/kit, 10-bolt Auburn posi, etc...).
Car is rough! Needs trunk, 1/4's, roof, floors, lots of body and suspension work. I'm actually going to move engine and trans into new project and dispose of rolling shell. If anybody wants it for parts or for a big project, $400 and you gotta come get it in Old Bridge, NJ. If not, the northeast has claimed another victim.

The only thing it needs right now is emergency brake pads in the rear. Other than that, nothing mechanically. One accident, hit from behind, they replaced the rear fin, bumper and painted the two parts. No chassis or frame damage, no damage to the quarter panels. Pretty minor but the two parts were very expensive.

Just what I stated in the ad, crazing on the hood and some blisters on the roof, scuff on rear bumper, some minor marks and dings but the car was always kept clean and tended to and it still looks great. I will take some pics tomorrow and add them to the site and send them to you. The price is negotiable, I need to get a smaller car as my son starts college in the fall and I need something more economical for him to commute, I have a Suburban that my wife will use so I must part with my favorite car. BTW, I can put the tune back to stock if you like, it has a Lidio 91 octane 3.55 rear tune but I use a sniper tuning software to juggle tunes and no longer use an sct. If you want the sniper with the car, its original cost was $600, obviously I don't want that but I can have it activated on your laptop or computer and we can work it out in the overall price. I have the stock tune, and three lidio tunes on it plus you can customize them with the sniper software in ways you cant do with an SCT. If you want to get your own sniper, I will include the tunes along with the car free.

Sniper doesn't allow transferring the unit, but I will continue to hold the license and cover any issues. I can get into it more on the phone. Richy

UPDATE: Car is still for sale. Cooling issue was repaired (new thermostat and topped-off coolant). New front tires, new front brakes, new wiper motor and directional stalk ("wacky wipers" fixed). 74,500 on car, about 10k on new motor.
A/C still does not work. Compressor, blower motor and directional door all work so defrost works fine. Blend door is stuck on "hot". I had blend door actuator motor replaced and installed other EATC with upgraded o-rings, but A/C still does not work. Blend door will need to be replaced ($200 part + labor for install).
