Actually it's not a 63 although the title says 63, Ford started the 1/2 thing they used next with the Mustang with the Fastback, they called it a
63 1/2.The first Mustang they called a 64 1/2 though they're titled and more commonly called 65's.
Still whichever we call them they were and are beautiful cars, kind of slim and graceful, almost feminine looking.I think the 63's and 63 1/2's looked best in Ming Green but the Rangoon Red was very nice too. The 64's were brawnier and tougher looking but still good looking cars.

It says Devil or Angel. My parents had it done at a car show...

I'll have to concur. This was mine until a few years ago. Parents bought it in '69, I restored it from '92 to '96. Life got in the way and it was sold.

Told us one price before we headed his way and another price when we got there. That is unreal to me.

Nice looking car.

But, since you don't own it anymore, one caveat.

The skirts are factory, but they just don't fit the lines of the car, IMHO. Considered a set for my 64 once, but backed off.

But, I'd kill for those hubcaps.

Your'e correct those skirts just don't look right and cover up too much of the wheel but the ones on that '63 Merc in your reply in the Classic forum look even worse.

Agreed. The skirts just don't fit the lines of the car.

At car shows, people look at the trunk of my Galaxie and comment how long it is.

That Merc's trunk makes my trunk look tiny.

That Merc's trunk makes my trunk look tiny.

Once when I was a novice owner of my '64 Merc I ordered some cardboard trunk liners that were for a '64 Galaxie thinking they would fit. It wasn't even close. The Merc is quite a bit longer from the rear wheels backward.

I just measured the interior dimensions of my '64 Marauder's trunk. It is 69 inches from the lower part of the back seat divider to the cardboard that covers the taillights poking through into the trunk. It is 70 inches side to side between the cardboard liners at it's widest. Of course the full size spare takes up a lot of room by the back seat but it would have been really handy on nights at the drive in movie theater when it was one price for however many there were in the car.

Those particular skirts were Foxcraft pieces, which were aftermarket. Ford had an accessory skirt for the car, but I was raised around the car wearing the Foxcrafts so I had them fitted during the restoration. They were removed for AACA meets, though.

The caps were a different story. I found those as NOS pieces out of New York. I believe I paid about $250 for the set, and the still had the inked Ford stamp on the backside.
