Changed to july 28th. Lookin forward to the 4.10's, from what ive read on here it really makes a big difference with little effect on fuel economy. Im installing my k&n this wknd but wont get the rest of the work done for a month or so. Keep u posted :)

I just got a call from dasilva racing this wknd, had an appointment july 21st for dyno tune and 4.10 gears. They had to reschedule for the 28th :mad2:. Now after trying to organize the ontario meet i cant make it lol. If no one wants to reschedule i understand and have a great time guys :beer:. Im gonna drive the marauder to the oakville plant on sunday july 22nd for the mustang show. Maybe i will see some other marauders there :D

What's Da Silva charging you for 4.10s? I am looking to have a set installed.

Serge, price includes gears, no mention of a rebuild and once the rear end is opened we will see if its needed. I should mention that i am getting a xcal3 tune and dyno the same day which could reflect the price of the gears and installation.

yes that sounds about right as i bought a set of 373 from joe and asked him how much extra to install them , i ended up installing them myself during the winter when i have the time to work on stuff

I was there around 12;15 and drove around for 15 mins, there was no parking available as there was a beer fest going on and all parking lots were gated closed, drove around saw nobody and left...........what a wash, we need to pick a better location than in the middle of T.O.

Let's start a poll for locations, as the CNE is coming soon and parking will be problematic.

Canadian Tire at Lakeshore & Leslie (this location actually hosts a regular classic car meet);

Toronto North:
Canadian Tire near Dundas St. & 9th Line/Winston Churchill;
Vaughan Mills Mall;

Toronto West:
Sherway Gardens Mall;
Queensway Cinemas;

Toronto East:
Ashbridges Bay Park;
Scarborough Town Center Mall;

Or, any GO transit parking lots?
Any other suggestions?

Morning;
Afternoon;

I'd go with midweek, Toronto Central, evening or late evening.
Or, weekend, Morning or afternoon, anywhere but central.

Toronto West and Toronto North (Canadian Tire near Dundas St. & 9th Line/Winston Churchill), for an evening / late evening.
Same goes for a weekend plus Ashbridges Bay.
These of course are just my preferences. If the majority is picking somewhere else; I'll be there too.

What did DaSilva end up replacing? Did he do axle seals and bearings too? I got my gears this weekend. Gotta call him up to setup an appointment.

Hey rocketman, do not wait any longer on the 4.10's!!!!! The car is alot quicker and another bonus is in city driving i barely have to use the throttle to get up to speed. I also had them install a sct tune, before the tune we did a dyno run to get some base numbers 258 rwhp and 263 rwtq. Thats with the exhaust work i had done and a CAI. After installimg the tune and 4-5 dyno runs later the final numbers are 274 rwhp and 299 rwtq. The car will easily spin the tires now and at WOT the wheels spin shifting into second. Its a whole new car and worth every penny IMO. Highway mileage will suffer a bit, at 120kms i used to be at 2200 rpms and now its at 2500.

Serge, it was $400 for the 4.10 install NOT including the gears and fluids.

I've been told that mall is absolutely stupid-busy everyday.
Is there going to be anywhere infront of the Bass Pro Shop to have us all park as a group, on a weekend? (I don't know how busy it gets there; just been told).

Here's a thought too.
What about putting a card of paper or something big enough to see, with each person's screen name and real name in the windshield or something? That way we all know who's who. (Mine is in my sig; but at the meet, it may get confusing depending on number of attendies).

We did a crown vic meet there a few years back and it worked out great. On the outter edge of the bass pro shops parking area there is plenty of room for us to meet. Plus it is right by the road entrance in so no one can miss us.
