The first retailed new generation Mercury Marauder left a dealer's lot and hit the streets 10 years ago today!

I took a restaurant gift certificate, thank you letter, and a couple documents to the original salesman today. It was his phone call to me the day the truck rolled in that ultimately got me the early sale.

I saw my first marauder (' 03) this day 10 years ago at Reedman's Dealership in Langhorne, Pa. Passed on it due to mark-up and high instrest rate. Did buy on in Sept. :)

It would be really nice if Ford Motor Company would send a representative to Marauderville X (MV10) in South Haven, MI on 12-16 September 2012 to recognize the 10th Anniversary of the 3rd Generation Mercury Marauder. They could walk around and meet the owners and see what has been done to keep the thrill of the MM alive within the community here at MM.Net, the events, and the commardarie. How well connected to FORD are you?

BTW --- I stopped by to visit you on Sunday morning but maybe was a tad to early for you. I was there before 9:00 AM. Took several pics of your 1963 Marauder S-55, Super Marauder 406 over near the "G" building. Here's one of them .....

I think the LEAST Ford should do is sponsor MV10! LOL What a party that would be.

Mine was born sometime this month 10 years ago. I finally got my hands on her 17 months later at Carmax. Newest car I ever owned, and got one hell of a deal at the time with 14,340 miles on her. It was truly underpriced as it only dropped $2000 less for the following SIX years after! Not to mention way more miles on them.. I had THREE other couples surrounding the car when they pulled it up for my test drive! I litteraly had to wait for them to move out the way!! Almost like they were blocking me in? When I returned, two of them were still waiting to be next LOL That was when it was decision time.. No time to think. Go get the paperwork started! Then the drive home... First light, ZERO rubber! FAIL! WTF? I was pissed. Four years of that noise it was time to spend some money and open the tool box.

NOT a problem now. :D

Now that I think of it, it has been 11 years since I saw my first Marauder. I was 13 years old waiting for my dad, and a friend of his drove by in a black one, and my jaw drop, exhaust sound had me hook since.
