I'm replacing the head unit in my car. It works perfectly, but I'm upgrading to a nav unit. I may sell it, I may not. But I wonder what the value is?

OEM unit, Tom?
Around $100 is average price; IIRC, that's what I sold mine for.

Corrected - OEM. Thanks.
Only $100? Wow....thought it would be more. I think I'll save it.

Mine right now is just a paper weight.......POS
Had the common no radio signal while tunning in FM channels.
Instead of getting another one, I used the $ to get an aftermarket with all the bells & wistles.....DVD navigation. I'm happy with my purchase.
But I think $100 is reasonable. Some stereo repair/shops that fix OEM also require a core with $100.

I plan to go Office Space on mine when I pick up my replacement.

Maybe 20+ years from now the car will be worth more with the correct stereo. I hope the car survives that long.

Per Jim, aka fastblackmerc, and other posts on the subject in this forum, some internal connections need to be resoldered and is the cause for no radio whatsoever.
Kinda pissed me off :mad2: but I still was able to play CDs via the deck and 6 disc changer so didn't loose my mind while driving...
Might want to shoot Jim a PM maybe he's got a deck he repaired & will swap you for yours with some labor charges....
I just decided it was time to upgrade and went the extra mile.......

I don't have am OEM headunit.
If someone has one they'd like to donate for me to test, I'd be happy to try and fix it.
