Was adjusting the rear suspension and went to tighten the 8 mm nut, and KAZAAM:

The 8 mm stud/bolt snapped right off. After a few choice words screamed at the top of my lungs, a trip to the local bone yard and $20 later, she's all back together with a new bracket from a towncar.

Moral of the story is be careful when tightening the 8 and 11 mm nuts on the ride height adjuster bracket thingy. And yes, it is an 11 mm nut and not 10 mm as mentioned on some of the write ups.

The 8MM nut was not intended to be loosened. It is merely a slide. The 11MM is the only one you need to loosen.

Dang. I guess I misread the threads on lowering the rear. Learn something new everyday. Thank you justbob for sharing.

New moral of story....read carefully and don't rush!
