Hey all -

I stink at searching this forum so forgive me if this has been beaten to death.

Can anyone recommend a post wash/wax duster?

Thanks,

Mark

I picked up 2 from Target made of microfiber, I love it and it does not leave lint or strings like my california duster does. $10.00

I used it at Carlisle and didn't notice a problem. Actually I think it was Blackened300a that turned us on to those. I first tried his at Gettysburg years ago and Eric has one for his black car. Not sure if he's had any issues.

I use a California Duster, too, and have had good results with it.

I recommend this Duster. I bought it for my wife shortly before we got married. She never drives it though. She said the mirrors are too small. I kid you not!!! :D

California Car Duster. The dirtier it gets the better it works!

BTW... they have one for the interior also.

Gave up the Cali duster for one of these
http://www.amazon.com/Wool-Shop-Lambswool-Duster-36/dp/B000I18NQ4/ref=sr_1_5?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1339273672&sr=1-5&keywords=wool+duster

You couldn't pay me to return to it.
This thing has no paraffin so it leaves no deposits on a hot black car.
Way better IMHO

I've been using a california duster for years. My previous car was a Polo green ElDorado, used it on that one also..works great...Just make sure there isn't any tree sap on the car first.. That lambs wool duster from amazon looks like it might be worth a try..Should not be washed due to wax imbeded in fibers...

My experience with car dusters has been different than what everyone else has posted. A long time ago I bought one (don't remember if it was a California Car Duster or not but the same idea) and it worked well for a while and then became ineffective. It just moved the dust around rather than it sticking to the strands. I called the company and they told me to wash it in Woolite. I tried that and it worked again for awhile but then I was back in the same situation of the dust not sticking to the strands. I just ended up getting another one and have had to get several through the years but eventually they all have done the same: work, don't work, wash in woolite, works a while then not any more. Now I have covers that keep most of the dust off.

Same here Quicksilver! Mine is an original California Duster with the wood handle and is now a dark gray color. All it seems to do is push the dirt around and just annoy me. I'm ordering a lambs wool duster from Amazon today.

I thought this thread was dead. My first duster was very large and heavy with a wooden handle. As I said before, it eventually became ineffective as all the other ones I've bought do. I need to check out the Amazon site or the Target micro fiber duster because I have multiple cars to dust.

They give you this but you pay for that
