I have already completed the ground part of the upgrade but I have not done the positive yet. I know that I am going to run a wire from alternator to circuit breaker then to positive terminal but on the factory positive terminal there are two red wires in the wire loom on one side of the terminal. I know the one is the alternator but what is the other in the loom? How did everyone hook it up?

All you have to do is the 2 grounds (battery to front engine cover & cam cover to body) and the 2 positives (from the battery to the fuse / relay box & alternator to the fuse / relay box).
The OEM wire from the alternator to the fuses / relay box is the larger diameter one.

But what do I do with that second red wire in the loom? What is that for?

One runs to the starter and the other is for the alternator.

So I should just cut the starter wire at the terminal and connect it to the new terminal? How come I never see this wire in anyone elses big 3 pics?

Yes, that is what I would do. I don't know, it's not a wire you need to bother with upgrading.

I agree 100%, just reconnect and call it a day. It is still on mine but I am running a 4 post battery so you cant actually see the wire when looking at it.

Ahhh OK that is probably why I never see it then. For now I'm running the stock Motorcraft battery until I get another. Just wanna get this wiring done before my stereo. Thanks Guys!

You just need to upgrade the 2 grounds and the 2 positive cables.
