Hello

So I bought and installed a Scan Gauge II. Now I have some questions.

I can not seem to figure out how to get it to show transmission temperature. Anyone give me the step by step?

How realible are the numbers it is giving you ... like HP? I was taken back by the numbers it showed for me.

I have only been running it for a couple of hundred miles, so will things change?

One interesting thing I noticed, if the numbers are correct, my MPG on the highway is just north of 21, but my city mileage sucks!

Thanks!
Anthony

Trans Fluid Temp - TFT is a add-on XGauge command you need to input.

Not sure what version you have but you can look in your manual to find out how to input the Xgauge command or here is the link for the manuals http://www.scangauge.com/support/user-manuals/scangaugeii-user-manuals/

There are two settings, one is instant the other is an average. I would recommend the average

What Birdman said! Mine works very well, if you just bought it new then it should be able to do trans temp.

I have version 6.0. I do not remember seeing the x-gauge instructions when I looked for it, but ... I am sure they are there.

As for mileage, yeah ... I saw the instant and the average. I care about average ... kinda.

Any thoughts on the HP meter portion? The shop doing the dyno tune cancelled their appt on me due to health reasons, so I need to wait for that. And going on a road trip in 4 days just adds to the delay. O well, the Scan Gauge said I was making 346.xx horses. That just seemed alot to me considering my mods.

4.10, K&N, UDP's, Zack tune.

Thoughts?

The ScanGuage II is worth the money. I have two, one on each Shelby and I swear by them. One Shelby is an auto tranny, but I haven figured out how to program the temp reads. The 411 in this thread will be helpful.

All the ScanGuage really does, is open up your EEC readings so you can see the setings and reports "live". This is quite impressive IMHO, and much better than traditional guages.

Carry on, Gents, and be safe.

I use torque on my Andriod phone. If it is like that app then for hp to be accurate you need to weigh your can with you in it
