WOOHOOOOO!!!! My new Marauder is finally in. Picking it up tomorrow Oh Yeah!!

Looked at it today as the dealer was closing...man is it black! Sunroof all gleaming and shining at me, oooooh I think she knew I was her new owner. Now if only the kid they're going to have wash it doesn't scratch it all to heck.

0% financing and the salesman walks up and says hey, don't you have an Oldsmobile Aurora? I say why sure i do and he says well then you get an extra 1000 bucks off. I say, wooooooooohoooooooo!!

Congrats. You're going to love it!

Take some pics of the factory moonroof for us.

I didn't know Mercury had such a program for people moving from an Oldsmobile to a Mercury.
They should advertise it more

Buick,Olds, and Caddy owners. I didn't know it either, it's called a conquest rebate. The story might get even better, the autoshow is here this week and the Wife and I saw a commercial last night advertising another $500 for an autoshow rebate don't know if it's available on my Marauder though.

Spent an hour or so searching threads last night on Silverstars, speakers, subwoofer mods, wheel locks, and SS inserts. This forum is great.

Thanks to all.

Drove it home about 15 minutes ago, I also own a 95 Impala SS and fell in love with it when I drove it home from the dealer, Same thing just happened with this one. Boy everyone is right about the stock speakers........they suck, putting in new ones tomorrow. SS inserts are on the way thanks to the the great pics posted here by other owners. The only things I couldn't find when I searched the threads was where to get the gods heads for the grille, trunk, and steering wheel. Any help there would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Driving it home tonight I can sorely understand why there is so much talk here about about not understanding why they don't do any marketing on this vehicle and why they are killing it after this year, it is unfathomable that they couldn't sell 10-15,000 of these a year with a little effort. Thanks again, and I'll stay away from the kool aid.

Baby steps, baby steps their rookie. This place tends to cause mental overload, empty pockets, and the need of a second computer so the better half doesn't have a cow!

Welcome, the fun has just begun.:baaa:

I remember my first drive home...

Then I got to drive her home again after Stage 1...

Then, after she was out of my hands for 46 days...

Each time was better than the last.

I took the plunge today. Traded my wifes '99 Exploder with 98k miles and a slipping transmission. I hated it anyway. Got a new '04, DTR. Total impulse buy, wanted one since I saw one at the car show a couple of years ago. My wife hates it. Happy Valentines Day, dear :) It's in the garage next to my '69 Cougar XR7 convertible. I'll never sell either one!

I'm outside Atlanta. I bought my '69 Cougar at Carlisle. Got the factory build sheet through Lois Eminger, it was sold by Pugmire Lincoln Mercury, a local dealership. I got 500$ off the Marauder for being a previous Merc owner

I'm digging the car big time so far 153 miles. :)

you enabler you, ordered them today.Next lesson. As far as the front and rear badge mod. Several folks pioneered this mod. But the one person that I remember that really put forth an effort and actually offers to make a set for the user, is RON460 out of Canada.
You will need to PM him directly to inquire.

Many of us made our own. I did. If you have some talent with a dremmel tool, you can too. I would suggest you hit the following link I post. It's not a thread search, but a user post search result. Read all the posts this user posted in related to badging. This will give you an idea of how it goes.

Good luck, and if you buy a set, I assure you, they're quality. And if you decide to do it yourself, several members will likely offer some advice if you ask nicely.:D
