When I cut the tape, do I cut a strip OR should it be cut & shaped exactly to the shape of the emblem? (so the whole back is covered with no metal exposed). Is a strip enough?

Shape the tape to the badge. That is best.

Now...can anyone give me a rough idea how far from the molding; how far back from the fender lip OR how far forward from the door crack? I get the general idea from the photos in the thread, but am I just guessing?

They way i did it was, from the molding up i just put my finger from right under the flag to the molding and from the end of the molding from the tire i just measured how i did the first one on a thin piece of paper/cardbpard and there ya go! And yess these are some bada$$ pieces!!

Martyo, I just measured the space between the two holes I am trying to cover. It is 5"! :eek: After seeing that these emblems are approx. 3.75", I am not sure they are going to work afterall :(. Here is the deal:
I just replaced the Grand Marquis trunk panel (where the backup lites are) with an old Crown Vic (police style) one. However, the one I purchased and restored had a Crown Victoria emblem on it. I didn't realize that the Crown Victoria emblem also had two alignment pins that stuck into the panel. I thought they were just stuck on.:rolleyes: The spacing is 5" between the holes. I was really hoping one of these Marauder emblems would cover both holes up.

I do have very small push pins that you might be able to insert into the hole. They will show but they are black so from a few feet back they will not be terribly noticeable.

These "Interceptor" and "SVT" badges were on the car when I bought her. I'm going to polish and wax the car tomorrow, so I was prepping it today and finally took them off.
I CAN'T WAIT to put the Marty-O badges on it when I'm done ! !

Despite the increase in the cost of postage and manufacturing, I will hold the price at the old price of $85/set. If you order more than one set to the same address, each additional set after the first set will be $80.

My originals on the car are badly faded, even after having put on multiple coats of clear to protect them. I would like to order another set if there are any still available. Please advise. Also, are there any recommendations for prepping them again before installation? Living in Toronto, the weather is pretty harsh here (we are going to be -30 tomorrow and colder on Friday) and the roads are pretty salted - yes, I do drive mine daily and just passed 252,000km this week!

Might not be everybodies taste but I really like it, in fact I like it so much that I might have to try and source a used single left facing fender badge.

Any thoughts? Oh and... free bump! ;)

I believe the SCT and tune will yield more pleasure and improve your car rather than fender badges, but, that's just me ;)
