Never mind the messy trunk, havnt cleaned it out from the car show on Sat.
So I picked up these side firing LED strips on ebay, got the pair for $12 to my door, well worth it, just + and - wire and peel and stick where you want the are very flexible, you could do 2 loops with the 1 ft strip and its still lit up, I chose under lip aread of the sides, didnt even know it was there untill I was looking for a place to mount these. I put a slight bend in them so they shine front to back of the trunk.
No night pics yet, but I can even tell a difference in the shop.
Wired them to the trunk light so they turn on and off automatically.
Best part is you dont even see them unless you stick your head in the trunk and look, otherwise all you get is the added light when standing normal looking in the trunk.

Think I might do these for undercarriage lighting and hook up to the footing lighting

I bought a one meter from ebay and put it under my rear deck in the trunk and took the old light out and wired it to that. Turned out great.

If you get strip lights to do under the car make sure they are water and/or weatherproof.

I thought having the lights under the car, went out of style a ways back? (Maybe on a honda or subaru?).
BTW: trunk lights looks killer!

Not running all the time, they would be valet lights. Wire them up to come on with the dome light or door opening as a trigger.

I did a similar install in my trunk. I can see inside the trunk now at night. I also replaced the OEM bulb with a matching cool white LED bulb in the factory light fixture so it matches.
Looks nice and much better visibility at night.
Ordered the bulb from superbrightleds.com. I found a code for 5% off, think it was RE382, but can't recall the exact code.

Nice, I might have to add that, then take the bulb out of the factory light.

well thats what I get for staying up late and cruising EBAY... ordered another LED strip to do under the front of the trunk firing downward, like baconbit's pics.
All of $7 for that one.
Once thats in, im pulling the bulb of the factory light cause it be plenty bright.
