HI,
I was backin gup last week and hit a rock that was sticking out. It pushed in the chrome tip about 1/2 inch. Not any big deal...The pipe before the chrome tip is a bit crimped. Anything to do about this? It is not really that bad.....can the pipe be cut and a new piece welded? Can the same chrome tip be used?

I would take it to a muffler shop, they could straighten out the exhaust, but if the tip is damaged, you might have to replace it, but that's your call. it all depends how much cosmetic damage you could live with.

Not expensive and works without heat. You may be able to slide it in place without detaching anything.

Useful to be able to expand pipes to slide over each other too.

The tip has no damage. the exhaust pipe kinked a bit about 6 inches before the start of the tip.
