I am speaking english I'm using my cell phone and it's translating text
I replaced the o rings in my e a t c unit and that fixed air only coming out of my defrost
previous to that my blend was working I was getting ac and heat just only out of defrost
now I am getting code 025 and blend is no longer working I didn't touch anything besides the e a t c unit

Read this (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=61728).
Sometimes running the diagnostic multiple times will clear the fault.

My Eatc was having problems and I was getting cold and hot air, but only out of the dash and floor boards.
I replaced the orings and this fixed that problem, but then I immediately started getting a CODE 025 on the EATC. Then I was only getting warm air on heater or ac. Now..... The heater blows HOT, but the AC is still luke warm and the CODE 025 went away.
Is it the blend door or something I can fix with out removing my dash!
Oh also, my eatc doesn't hold temp settings it will switch to 75 and I have to manual reset it.

It did clear the code, but now I am only getting hot air blowing when I select AC it blows luke warm... like it isn't switching all the way to ac

I had the same issue, problems with the circuit board in the EATC, I ended up getting a replacement head.

Sounds like circuit board issues in the EATC head. If you know somebody that's got a good one, try swapping out and see if that resolves the issue. If so, start looking around for a replacement EATC head unit.

Well, I HOPE it's not in the junk yard... ;)
EATC from an '03 or '04 CV, GM, or (I think) an F-150 with climate control should work. PM RoyLPita to confirm that.

I second the EATC head unit.

Ok for a while today the AC was working and blowing ICE cold. It seems to work randomly.... the heat will always work, but it seems to stop before getting to ac and i end up with mix

I have had a hell of a time with this car. 2003 Crown Vic w/ EATC
Recently replaced orings to fix vent problems, but now ac is not running cold.
It ran once or twice and was ice cold, but now is luke warm.
I popped the glove box and the blend door is moving correctly.
It doesn't seem like the clutch is engaging? But it was working before I messed with the EATC and now nada.

So what did you mess up when you did the o-rings?

well i didn't mess anything up i just replaced the 4 orings...
i meant i pulled it out and replaced them... as "messing" with the eatc.

I know what you meant.
What I meant was, if the A/C worked before you worked on the EATC and it doesn't work now where do you think the problem is????

well i don't know enough about this car to know.
i don't even know what the eatc does in regards to the ac clutch/etc....
i figured it was sending the signal out ... because it is sending a signal to the blend door to switch and that is working.

You may have a bad connection from when you plugged the EATC connectors back on. You may have to remove the unit and plug and unplug the connetors a few times then check it before you put it all back together. Just slide it back in and try it. Good Luck!

i rechecked the plugs and they seem normal... there is a white slimy residue covering both plugs into the eatc, which i don't know if it supposed to be there or not and i don't know what it is? it almost looks like white lubricant.... i know nothing about cars obviously

So many ways to corrupt this thread...so little time. ;)
Hope you figure out what the dilemma is...good luck.

Bad compressor, bad clutch, bad wiring, low on Freon, bad EATC, bad blend door motor...

That is protectant for the connectors.

Just remember....
The A/C system is a closed system. If you need freon there is a leak somewhere.

Ok well I got the a/c checked he said possibly could be the control switch, since the pipe under the hood is super cold. Gonna run the computer diagnose just to make sure.

If the aluminum pipe under the hood is cold and the pressure guages gave readings within specs and you still have hot air from the vents/floor, I would lean toward a blend door actuator problem. It is supposed to throw the 025 code for a bad actuator, but on an intermittant problem you may not get it all the time. You should be able to get it to run from cold to hot by moving the temp setting from highest to lowest. The blend door actuators have been know to stick. Another symtom is a muffled tapping/knocking sound while the temp is moving from hot to cold and cold to hot. This is the blend door motor jumping teeth. Doesn"t always give the code because the blend door eventually gets to the correct position to provide the feedback to the head unit.
Just something to to look at before shelling out $$ for a head unit. But the best test is to swap the head unit and see if the problem persists..

Well a few days ago I did hear some knocking kinda by the radio like twice when I would turn on the car but didn't think nothing of it. And is there another name for that blend door actuator can't seem to find that name on autozone? I appreciate that info
