How come so many engines are going bad in these? I just bought a black 03 from pa yesterday, it has 122k with a locked up engine for 3800.00 guy wanted 5k for it. He told me he was racing a charger on the interstate and his oil pump died on it.

Check the yards in your area for an aviator motor i believe its identical with a different intake and cams. There may be a couple other things that differ as well. Im going to use a licoln mark 8 short block i picked up from the local pick n pull in mine. It still has all the jasper reman information on it.
