So I know the port size and bolt pattern are different but how about the actual location of the exhaust manifold? are the exhaust port locations wider and lower than our 2v brothers? Reason I ask is I have a access to an inexpensive set of long tubes for a 2V Vic and a tig welder. I can have the flanges laser cut or buy them relatively cheap.

Ovals are "on side" instead of vertically oriented --I think have same c/c...I need to know installed head angles(from vertical) and c/c as I've gotten my hands on a set that fits a 5.0 & want to modify to fit my young mans '99 GM that he's about to hang a used motor in. Haven't been able to find that info as I've been sidetracked by all this other REALLY NEAT info..Who knew there were so many like minded motorheads.
P.S. I DO own that hybrid...Still 30+ MPG @ 190,000mi

IIRC, port configuration is quite a bit different, don't think they'd work without some major mods.

Send me an autocad pattern & I'll send you a set of flanges laser-quality cut...the rest is up to you...

The 2v and 4v exhaust ports are vastly different, 4v exh ports are WAY bigger, so even if they physically bolt onto the heads you will be choking the exh ports down which will hurt performance significantly.

I think where they are located is very close since the 2v has a wider intake compared to a 4v If they are way cheap I would say go for it

The standard 2v and 4v primary tube diameter is 1 5/8" so a 2v header would on no way choke a 4v.

I would massage the pipes to fit the rectangular ports. Sounds like a good project for fall! I put my tig welder away for the rest of the summer. It will give me time to start the autocad drawing for the flange.

You are only looking at new flanges and round to oval adaptors. I made my own LT's from a set of MAC's for a 04 Cobra. What you are wanting to do is easy peasy.
