I'm in the middle of changing out my oil filter adapter gasket, when I see what looks like an overly loose power steering hose connection. It looks like it's meant to move around somewhat, but this much?
Anyone know if this is what it's supposed to look like?

Sorry if the video is not embedded properly, TapATalk doesn't seem to have that option.

The left to right movement is normal, not sure on the up and down movement. Is it leaking?

I can't tell if it's leaking. I thought the oily mess was due to a leak from the oil filter adapter, but now I'm not sure.

From oil changes, you constantly spill oil in that area everytime you remove the filter. They make a oil deflector that clips onto the PS lines to prevent that. Clean it up good with brake cleaner and turn the wheel left and right to check for leaks. If no leaks then the line is fine and its likely the residual oil from your last oil change or the adapter. A few members have already swapped them out because of a leak.

Probably normal. Like Paul said clean & check again.

I just installed a new set of Motorcraft P/S lines on someones car and yes, they are designed move around. For only a tiny seal, I can't believe they don't leak.
