PM Lowbuckmm. He is a fellow Chitowner. He has a nice little nitrous set up and ran some good times in the 12's with his 100 shot.

i was also thinking since i am pretty handy with a die grinder to port the intake and do a t/b even if it dont gain much
car is going tomorrow for 2-1/2 exhaust from the manifolds back to a mac prochamber then to a pair of large magnaflows to the stock tips

I think nitrous is the smart way to make power. Cheaper and only used when you need it.
Had it on one of my other cars...loved it.

MM.net member Pat, from Lousiana, I believe has a small shot of nitrous (75) on his car, although he does have a centrifugal supercharger as well. Pat has been very helpful to me with info about the centrifugal supercharger as I have one I am going to install soon, so I am sure he would pass along info about his nitrous set up to those interested in the same. Send him a pm.

Yup, Pat, lowbuckmm, and John Nero all had or have run NOS. Not a bad route to go if you only want occasional power enhancement; however, if you want power on demand, pretty hard to beat SC.

i have always kinda been a boost guy since ive owned 9 cars that are boosted in one way or another from 87-88 turbocoupes, thunderbird supercoupes, turbo sho`s had a 03 cobra for a while
i was thinking id use the spray till i got a eaton swap together then once thats installed id just drop it down to like 35 hp for a little additional chemical intercooling above 10 psi

I ran 80-100 shot dry. Ran 13.00. TQ shot up to 437.

I ran 4.30s, Z tune with 2 degrees retarded, JLT and 125 wet shot on a Harris Speed Works nitrous fuel cell in order not to drop fuel rail pressure. I was solidly in the high 12s on street tires. I ran more bottles through that car than I care to remember, the motor when it was removed was looked at (bearings and boroscope) by the new owner of the motor. No problems what so ever.

I have 4.10 gears, jlt cold air, under drive pullies, control arms and a 100 shot. Consistent 12.8 on street tires, best of 12.40 with my drag tires. I made almost 100 more hp over just motor on the dyno. Get a dyno tune for it. It's well worth paying for a dyno tune.

Which kit would you recommend?? Wet or dry?? Brand??Is the bottle heater a must in a hot climate? Window switch? WOT switch??

Wet, brand isn't too important, Zex, Dynotune, NX (Nitrous Express), NOS, Edelbrock, Venom... They're all pretty similar. Bottle heater is recommended hot or cold. It keeps that bottle at the perfect pressure wether you have a full bottle on a hot day or a quarter of a bottle on a cold day. Window switch is preferable, but, not necessary. It turns it on at the right RPM every time. WOT switch you have to have to even make it all work. WOT switch is just that, you don't ever want to run the N2O unless you're in WOT. Every kit has one. There's two kinds. The difference is a manual trip switch hooked to the throttle body or electronic that uses your TPS signal.
