Just wondering to all out there.... take a looksie at the last pic of the steering wheel with air bag deployed....
Is that what it looks like underneath once the steering wheel badge is removed???
As I want to get one from Daniel, aka Colex, but modifications need to be done to make his fit.
BTW, I'm wondering if the badge flew off when the air bag depolyed????
Maybe OEM badges also fly off too.....gotta watch out for em as well as the air bag in your face.

That is what is under the waterfall badge. That asterix looking part needs to be ground off, I used a utility knife but a Dremel with a grinding bit would work better probably. Colex badge uses adhesive to stick where the OEM is held on by thin tabs. Colex wheel badges are top notch. Here's a pick of Ms. D's installed

Ahhhhh....thanks for the reply!!!! ;)
I'm even more interested in doing this mod now.
I was kinda skeptical and I didn't know what to expect under the stock badge.
You state that the stock badge has thin tabs.
So can I just pry up & off the stock badge then grind down the asterix to make the Colex badge fit like the Oem??

Short answer is YES. I found prying up the OEM badge worked best if the interior of the car was very warm. It makes the vinyl that the badge rests in very pliable.
First thing to do is disconnect the battery so you aren't dealing with the horn constantly beeping and I let the car sit for 30 minutes after I disconnected the battery so any chance of the airbag going off was eliminated. I drank a frosty one while I waited.
I used a thin screwdriver and pried the OEM badge very slowly. The vinyl of the steering wheel will lift a little then a few of the tabs bent straight and the badge fell into the foot well. Best advice is warm interior and slow and steady. If I were to do it again I would put a little dab of silicone under the Colex badge as the two sided tape Danial supplies doesn't touch the vinyl 100%. :)

Much Mahalos for the reply.
I'll keep "PATIENCE" in mind instead of persuasion for this mod and take all your instructions/advice for the success.
Now, I just gotta decide what I want on the badge and PM Daniel.

what a sad sight to see....went into the garage and pulled out my moon-roofed DTR, opened the roof , stuck my head up towards heaven and screamed,"thank you Lord that's not my Marauder!!!!!" I wonder if that accident could have been avoided if he had Wilwood brakes???? Is there special DTR parking in Marauder heaven???? LOL
