View Full Version : What fenders will fit?
My son backed out of the garage with my wifes car, into my Marauder (parked in the driveway, in the other "lane". We had a nice chat about how he did not see the giant black car and how he must not be using the mirrors(And that he should), and how it's a good thing it was not a person.
Anyways, no Marauder-specific parts damaged. All damage is on the LF fender. Car is black. What the range of years for Crown Vic and/or Grand Marquis whose fenders are suitable replacements? I'm hoping to get a UA fender from the bone yard and get it bolted on. Thanks!

Actually, anything from 92' and up will fit. Obviously, anything newer is going to be in better shape though.

Only interchange is 2003-2011 CV & GM. The front edge where the marker light goes and where it attaches to the core support changed in 2003. How do I know? I just bought a RF fender for a 2004...
List price from Ford $333.20. Might be able to get it for as low as $239 if the parts guy wants to be competitive (some parts managers encourage this). After market is as low as $130, but the fit and quality control varies a lot from fender to fender so it may need some massaging to get it to fit right (at extra $$ of course).
Also, used may be about $75, but if it even has some small dings, the cost to fix those will run it up about the cost of a Ford fender, not to mention the extra prep work involved in a used fender (unless you luck out and get a black one).
My order of preference is New OEM, Very, very good used, aftermarket.
Oh, and beware of a bodyshop that says they will fix the old one...unless it is just a big ding/small dent, the fender gets tweaked and never looks right again. You can spot those cars from 20 feet away...

The header can be modified to fit if need be, so that an older fender can be used if need be.
Without seeing the damage, it may be fixable, OP, post up a shot. But for a $300 fender, I would just buy a new fender and fix the car.

Tough to capture this on a shiny black car but this pic is pretty good.
