Any comments or feed back on the below alternator for our Rauders.

I'm interested in replacing my original OEM and DB no longer makes the 250 amp alternators.

I'm thinking and looking into getting this QS 250 amp with heavy duty quicktifier.

Will set me back 5 bills but I think it is worth it if it does what it states and can handle the demands from my aftermarket audio install!

Also, this quicktifier is something new that I never seen before which is suppose to make the alternator tougher?

I had the above first addy saved in my favorites, so I think some member here posted it before.

It was further mentioned that the alternator on the Marauder is specific due to the regulator.

$500 bucks is alota mulla for a 250 amp alt. Id check with local shops in the area that rebuild alternators. I have a custom 200 amp alt with a smaller pulley (non clutched) built for 225. The good thing is the shop is 30 mins away from my house so if any thing happens i can always take it in to get fixed.

Hey Screamn...

There's a Alt. shop on Nimitz that rebuilds my alt....They do great work...I believe they can re-build your original to put out more Amps...This is what I intend to explore when mine's start to fail...

Check these guys out...

Central Pacific Rebuilders
corner of Nimitz and Mokuauea St. (green building)
PH# 841-9941

Might save you some $$$ and have a 200 amp Alt. in your original case...Now, that's Scream'in HOT!

Good Luck...

Aloha
