I like the idea. Does the top mat slide around? Did you have to use Double sided tape or was the top mat rubber backed?

Just dont get in an accident with two floor mats! If you do your going to more then likely loose if you try to fight it.

it is the same as if you have wires hanging down under your dash or anything else just loose and rolling around on the floor, or crap hanging in your line of site, loose stuff on the rear speaker shelf etc. a good lawyer would try and they have been able to use that in court to show that is what caused the accident. Lets say in your case you hit some one not your fault at all but wait why are there 2 floor mats? our cars where not made or engineered for 2 mats so now the lawyer could pull the old well it must have slipped up and hit the gas pedal thats what caused the accident your honor, Now you have to prove that they didn't cause the accident. End up getting a ticket for things like obstruction of vision. non approved by factory modification ticket (some states can be real anal about this like California) unsafe for use on public roads ( I knew a guy had so much crap in his car he received a ticket for this) the list can go on and on depending on your state. not trying to scare you or anything it does look good! Just dont want you to get into more hassle then needed if you did get in an accident. Might want to maybe ask a officer or 2 where you live what they think? Maybe check local laws as well.

I just never use the OEM mats.... only put them in the MM for shows.
I use cheap $20 - $30 mats for daily use. Easy to replace once every year or two.

I do the same thing I took my floor mats out days after I bought my car new, my mats maybe have 500 miles of wear on them, only put in for car shows.my mats look brand new still.

My OEM mats haven't ever seen the bottom of shoes. They came out and went into the trunk before I signed for the Marauder.

You have never gotten the real feel and become part of your Marauders if you have not driven it with the OEM mats in place. Become part of the car, feel it and rejoice at the oneness you have with it. Insert favorite hymm here.

Na that's not how you do things. The first day you buy your car you should put your car in it's trunk to save it

Storing the OEMs and ordering the Redline OEM style mats is prolly easier .....
Plus as someone else said, it is not a good idea to have 2 mats under your feet while driving. JMHO

The Redline Mats (set of 4) arranged by Paul Casey were about $100.00 per set plus S&H (total cost was a deal at about $112.50 as I recall).

The Redline Mats look identical to the OEM mats but are much more plush with a tighter/better pile...... and they are offered with blue, red, or standard MARAUDER lettering. I love mine. Thanks to Paul for setting up the Redline ordering process and letting them use your OEM mats as the template.
I agree ^^^^^^ with the above about having two mats on the floor. Sounds like a stuck accelerator pedal just waiting to happen. Maybe we should call this the Toyota mod.

I don't see how a floor mat can push a gas pedal down. If there's stubbles under a floor mat then another floor mat with stubbles on top of another mat is ok. If someone makes a accident due to some reason of sudden acceleration then they don't know what breaks are
