So it's been on the fritz for a while. Typical O-ring failure I thought - air from the windshield and the floor, but not the vents. Also, the outside temperature has been reading 15 or so (it varies) degrees high for a few months.

today I got in, the AC was cranking nicely. 1/2 way to the store - it just stopped. Nothing works now - no AC, no heat. Fans don't come on in any mode, I get nothing from it even manually trying the fans. The display still works however.

Tips? Is it dead? Anyone have a line on a cheap replacement, Im broker than broke right now...

added: i ran the self test, and got 888 (with all the other lights lit). If I move the fan wheel up to the highest position (its spring loaded), then I hear a faint click, but no fans at any position.

Could be your BCM croaked...turn the fan on and try hitting it with a tunkin' iron...

If the fan comes on, you need a new BCM or need yours soldered...contact fastblackmerc.

I was just reading about the BCM. Hopefully thats it. If its a solder job, i can handle it, but the part appears to be 40 or so, not bad. If it wasnt pouring out, i'd go tap it, i'll do that in the AM.

also, is there anything fastblackmerc DOESN'T fix? He was a huge help with my LCM, too... lol

RF -

thanks for the tips - rain stopped, so I went out and banged on the BCM, sure enough, the fan starts up when I gave it a good whack.

I'll get one from Rockauto and get that replaced. Not too expensive...
