got my jlt cold air installed today and my sct xcal 3 and i must say i am very impressed w just these mods alone w the canned sct tune. my throttle response is hugely improved and the power increase all around is great
next things are my exhaust getting done from the front cats back in 2-1/2 w magnaflows and gears

did you drive it with the intake before the tune? If so, how was the difference? I want to get a canned tune too but i want to be able to notice a difference.

Before the tunned and just the intake one major thing I did notice was sound. The car was a bit more loud and it Just sounded so much better. And of course it did perform a bit better more responsive that's for sure.

yea i drove it before the tune was on w just the intake no major power diffrence a little more throttle response than before
after was a whole new story cracking it from a idle causes a little tire spin then it squats and hauls the mail the shifting is MUCH better nice and firm at Wot but at cruise is just like stock but it does not seem to hunt for the right gear anymore so all in all well worth the money
and my car has the continetal extreme trac tires on it basically big 255/50/18 road coarse tires that are sticky and very soft the car would struggle to do a burnout break torquing it before now it just bombs them no problem
im very very happy with it so far im sure a lidio tune is even better

just the preloaded sct tune witch they call good for 26 hp and 29 ft lbs i shut off the rear 02 sensors and added 2 degree`s under 2k rpm to help with off idle power and it really woke the car up alot

FWIW, a Mo's Speed Shop or Lidio (Alternative Automotive) tune will give you a very noticeable improvement in performance.
As was noted in earlier posts, the CAI will give you more sound, but for the most part won't do much as far as a performance improvement. The OEM air box is actually quite efficient; Roush Engineering designed it, and it flows a bunch of air.

ive been into 4v mod motors for years when i sold my truck last friday i drive directly to the car i bought and when i got home started doing research on them to see what i needed to do lol
ive built a few 4v cars for friends over the years and am a ford guy thru and thru
im still deciding wheather to go the high comp n/a nitrous route or go turbo with it i do have mod motor engine building experiance,
my next major thing is gonna be finding a set of 98 cobra intake cams and degreeing them and getting the nitrous on the car and that should be good enuff for now till i decide the end goal for sure and start collecting parts
