Just an easy question, what are the widest nittos i can get without putting any spacers or have to worry about rubbing on my Merc? I want the rears wide and the fronts just a little wider than stock. Thanks.

You can do 295/45 18s in the rear, i widened my fronts to 18x10 with a 1" spacer, and mounted a mickey thompson 28x12x18 which is comparable to a 295/45 18! i did 18x11s on the rears with a 1.5" spacer m/t 30x12x18!

+1, you "can" put any size tire on just about any rim, but the above will perform the best for a stock sized rim.

255/45-18 front
265/50-18 rear
Same profile but a bit wider front and rear plus they fit perfect on stock rims.
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting tires for my factory equipment 2003 Marauder rims -- my dealer ordered the BFG's a month ago and they still haven't
arrived....
Al, can the sizes you just posted in Nitto tires fit these rims without any problems?
also, can anyone tell me what size and style works in the Hankook brand?
thanks,
foxy
A few of us are running 285s. I've had Pirelli Scorpion Zeros 285/50/ZR18 on stock rims for two years now. Love the look, without spending the money on widening the rims.

This may be a foolish question, but what is the cost of actually getting the rims widened and running 295 in the rear or are there actual Marauder wheels that can be purchased that are made wider for this purpose?

I was facing just the same question recently - "what is the tire patch in the ground?" So I dug up all the calculations and made up an Excel spreadsheet. Put the numbers in the first three columns and it calculates the rest. Feel free to use it if you find it worthwhile.
The first sheet is sorted by tire size. The second sheet has the first sheet copied into it and then resorted by diameter.

Right around $500 to widen the wheels, plus shipping, plus a new set of tires, and, you may want to refinish the wheels after, as where they are widened, there is no more clear coat, and it will corrode, so, add another $500 for refinishing.
