There are 6x8s in the front doors and the rear deck

Those door speakers have got some pretty good imaging, I think. I could swear that's where most voices are coming from!

I'm sure aftermarket speakers for the doors will reproduce recordings more accurately - they will sound better. But, what do those of you who have changed them think of the imaging? Same, better, or worse?

Yep! I went with a set of MB Quart components up front. 5.25 woofer mated to a 6x8 template on the door and then mounted the tweeter near the A-pillar but on the door. What a world of difference it made, especially after I added an amp to them and stop having them powered off the Escape Audiophile HU.

I installed JBL door speakers and had 6x9's installed. Then put it all on a 4 channel amp. Factory sub isn't even on. Love it. Forgot to mention I have a pioneer double din head unit
