I got both heads reconditioned, put back together, notice when I drive from a gentle take off it does a putt putt notion that you can only feel when you pay attention to it. It doesn't really hestitate more so a putt putt. It happens when I drive and when I give it gas to make it down shift. I've only driven the car with the heads on here a little over 500 miles. Are they just breaking in or is it something I get looked at???

Apparently you don't either.....:P
Cam timing? Did you degree the cams? Was it that way prior? Do you have a tune?

Never claim to be. Timing is right and have tune. Was perfectly fine prior

Any excessive ticking like loose cam followers? Cam timing is also not out of the question, did you degree them or go dot to dot? Did you install new chains and guides? Spark plugs torqued and tight into the heads? Injectors tight and no leaks from the O rings into the manifold and off the rail?
This "put put" out the exhaust or under the hood? Maybe a valve seat issue under load.

We did dot to dot. No new chains or guides. New plugs tight. All new gaskets. The heads are both redone, one is fresh with couple new valves other redone with 20k on it. It's not a sound but a feel.

If it is "feel" I would look at spark...COPS? perhaps...?

Under full throttle really breaks up.

Under full throttle really breaks up.
That sounds more like a COP. Maybe a cam cover gasket around the plugs is leaking and causing the misfire.

I'm having a little trouble with your description of the problem:
Best way to describe the feeling is that to compare the motor to doing a "grinding" feeling. Does it for a a second or 2. Under WOT is constant till I let off.

Ok will look at it, too damn hot right now.

Under hard acceleration acts like it hits the red line but no where near it.

Well problem is fixed. The tune helped diguse the problem, got worse when I took tune off. Coil packs were bad.
So after reading on here I tested each one by one and were all working. Went to AutoZone and bought one to switch individually but all worked so I said the hell with it and dropped the new one in. The studder, throttle response, exhaust sound got slightly better. I figured all new 8 would fix it and it dud. All new 8 coil packs. New fuel filter, cleaned maf good to go. Thanks for your help folks. :banana2:

Glad it was something easy and not the HEADS!! When are you going to the drags?

Heads were reconditioned. Prolly no time soon in this heat. Wonder if my compression ratio went up dueto heads being redone and gained some hp.

Probably a good idea to do the read head cooling mod, so you protect your new heads (and can thrash around hard without worry)
Reinhart has these kits with the billet machined pieces, a good investment that's not that much money.
