I was wondering if the Walbro GSS342 is a direct plug and play (swap w/o modifications) with the svt focus pump that came with the stock trilogy set-up? Through the search function and pms (thanks justbob), I have found that it is good for 460 RWHP with room to spare and they can be found relatively inexpensively.
thanks in advance for your replies.

I just installed the GSS342 pump a few days ago. I had to cut and splice the two wires for the new Walbro electrical connector. But that was it.

I think I paid $80-$85 shipped off eBay. Came with harness and other stuff.

My SVT Focus pump was slowly dying.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what kind of issues were you seeing with the SVT pump, Joe?

And this pump works with a returnless fuel system? Seems like a much more inexpensive alternative to the Ford GT supercar pump, its well under half the price!

Also, a BAP is required correct?

I only got a few things left before the Eaton Swap starts!

Works perfectly fine. I've had one for a couple of years now.

What safety precaution measures can one take to alert on a bad pump before the big BOOM ?

Gauges.

One for A/F ratio, another for fuel pressure.

Als need a big buzzer & warning light.

AeroForce Interceptor gauges have an annunciator function on them that can be set to alert you to high or low parameters for various monitoring functions.

For those of you who spliced the Walbro connector to the factory wiring, how did you go about doing so? Im afraid if I use a crimp connector and heat shring tubing of some sort, it will dissolve in gasoline. My plan was to solder and find some gasoline-resistant insulating tubing. (if it exists)

I just crimped the wires together with the connectors provided with my Walbro pump and as stated in the instructions.
