hey everyone im half way done doing my led convertion on my whole car inside and out and get rid of all those stock dingy yellow bulbs
i got all of them done except the shifter and the guage cluster and need to know how many bulbs and what size i need for the cluster and the size shifter bulb/how many please?
i got all the bulbs besides those and the trunk i plan on putting 3 led strips in trunk and REALLY light it up when opens to show off my high output audio system :D
using all bright white including the guage cluster and the 2 guages, i just want a different look and i love the new look already. i feel like im in a different car love it.
with the bright white HID headlight/Fogs i already have gonna look really awesome
so when i finish i will post a video like other have done and yes it did happen :)
but thanks anywya to cltvraven for offering to do this mod lighting for me, but i bought all the bulbs off ebay and did all the labor myself so far ALL were super easy expet the dome and map lights were little hard getting covers off
i did them all in 6k bright white 9 led bulbs and they are super bright love it
but by buying them all and doing the work myslef saved close to 100 and took me a hour but thanksss sooo much for offering thought that counts

Gheez......
Look at the light.
There is no cover.
You have to take the entire assembly out.

hey everyone got my guage cluster out and going to change all bulbs to led bright white instead of the green and wondering if i just put put birhgt white bulbs in they will be white right bec i knbiow the 2 stock guages we have there green no matter what color bulb you put in
also some1 said there was what 7 bulbs behind there and boy was they wrong and didnt know what they were talking bout there is a total of 21 bulbs behind here and 16 of them are the 194 wedge style bulb and there is 5 of these very very small bulbs behind here
so 16 194 bright white 7 led wedge style will be going in and just making sure if i get white it will be white and not stay green?
can some1 please identify the very very small bulbs behind here there are 5 of them with light blue housing holding them in and are very small wanna replace them too while im at it please?

:shake::shake:
There are 6 bulbs that provide cluster illumination.
All the other bulbs are for different indicators.
Replacing the 6 illumination bulbs with white LED bulbs will give you brighter green illumination........ there are green filters that have to be dealt with to get different colors in the cluster.

BTW.... If you take a closer look at the circuit board on the cluster you'll see what each bulb is for.......
Like I said in one of your previous posts... take your time, look at what you are doing and understand it.

yes i see that the label is on there so how do i dealt with the gren filter take it apart and take the green filter out?
also what are those very small bulbs type number? 5 very very small light blue housing bulbs
since its out and have the money wouldnt be replacing all those bulbs be a good idea so never have to be messed with for a very long time

also there is some spet to take when changing the springs from air suspension and now dont even have to deal with that just going to take the bulb out :)
also my airbag light comes on and off i think im just going to take that bulb out too

In my opinion, replacing all the bulbs is not cost effective. They are not on enough to make a difference.
The green filter is part on the gauge face. You have to take apart the individual gauges to somehow remove the green filter material. Not an easy task.

ok ima see what i can do
marauder410
07-08-2012, 07:40 PM
i took it apart and yea its not easy to do what so ever and gonna have to glue it back down and cut the green out so i decided do not mess with it and put it back together so green is still fine with me and just do bright white everything else
