I shipped my driveshaft to Dynotech on june 15th. It was signed for on the 20th. they called me on the 27th for my credit card info and still nothing. no charge to my card and who knows where my driveshaft is right now. :mad2: I was told about a 3 day turn around to get it shipped back. Now I'm at 10 and I'm only counting business days.

If it was delivered to them and someone signed for it then all of the responsibility lies with them on it now. Hope something pans out soon for you!

You would think a Company that ship's and recives large items all the time would have a handle on this.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Have you tried calling them to inquire?

Not sure what your having done but I just ran into a problem on their MM shaft. The yoke that came with it will not fully insert into the tailshaft to allow the back to clear the pinion. (Not mine) Anyways, they said they had to change the yoke due to Ford no longer making it?? And to install the factory yoke on their shaft and report back for fitment. Thanks to these storms knocking out my power I have not been able to schedule a good time for this person to come back out. Seemed weird that they would say that, but I hear they also agreed to pay for the time of changing it. Anyways, until they get an answer they said they were pulling the MM shaft from any sales as this was the second one with this issue.

I have a spare shaft if you need one. Don't know how to ship it. Pick one out I have a Marauder and a CVPI. Do you need a loaner or want to buy one?

Have you tried calling them to inquire?

I have been in contact with one guy through email since I first thought about sending it. He have been very helpful and responded to my emails within minutes.

Today I sent an email, I did get a response a couple of hours later from the same guy I emailed saying he was out of the office, but he would check on it when he comes back into work. I called about 330 today and they were closed. I was told they are off tomorrow for the holiday, I kinda figured that.

When I sent the driveshaft I used a sharpie to write my name, phone number, and address on it so it wouldn't get misplaced.

It was received and signed for June 20th, the same day I sent an email saying that I forgot to enclose a letter stating what wanted done, and was assured I would have it back in a couple of days.

June 27th, I received a phone call for my credit card number, saying it'll be back to me in a couple of days.

As of today there was no charge to my credit card and nothing stating where my drive shaft is, or if there is a problem with it. It's now been in their possession for two weeks, needless to say I'm not happy.

thanks for the offer, but I'll wait for mine to come back.

Thanks everyone else for finding humor in my frustation:lol:

I just called and sceduled ChiStallion and that defective shaft for 8 AM tomorrow. I will swap the yokes, and he can report back to them on Thursday.

So I guess you are having different issues with them, sorry to hear as I know the frustration myself.

I just wanted to follow up on what I said earlier as to other issues another member is having. I feel for him too as he is just over an hour away and this will be his second trip out for just a driveshaft install.

I dropped my driveshaft off at a garage that is very reputable to change my u-joints. I don't have a press so I didn't want to bend an ear or screw it up because I would have used a vise and sockets to press out the u-joints. I got it back and it was out of balance. I sent it to dynotech for another set of u-joints and a balance, I figured if anyone could make it right they could.

Well I would hope so! But two weeks down just for that? I would be furious to say the least. I have always been a hammer and a socket man, taught that way from the garage I worked at for a few years as a teenanger, and never once out of a few hundred u joints had a problem except shrapnel from an old one that cracked shooting across my thumb nail, then under the skin, coming to rest buried in my knuckle... Did I learn? Nope. But I finally caved and bought a press a couple weeks ago and this will be the first use.

Good luck, hope it comes home quick and FREE for that matter.

Thanks, I hope it's free considering I was quoted $180.xx plus tax for u-joints, install, balance, and shipping.

Update: I received an email Thursday morning saying it will be shipped shortly, what I was being charged, and that I will only be charged after the work is completed. I sent an email back stating my frustration. As of the end of their work day today, I still have no charge to my credit car and no drive shaft. Incase anyone is wondering I counted 18 days in Dynotech's possession including 13 business days.... My frustration continues.:mad2:

You should just call them to make it easier.

I recently have an issue with their driveshaft not fitting on my MM because of the transmission slip yoke. I talked to one of the reps Randy and he said to wait til Monday until the main guy Jim comes in and their gona handle it. They said they will pay for shipping and rebalance it and find the proper fit yoke.

Its just been too much downtime involved tryna get this driveshaft installed. When i mentioned my trouble to Jim at first he said to put the factory yoke dampner and report back. Well im still not happy and i just want it the way it should be.

Hope when Jim gets back in he get this resolved. $634 is alot to blow on a driveshaft that wasnt even built right.

Im not bashing Dynotech im just frusterated they sold hundreds of these shafts and all of a sudden when i order one i end up being a guini pig.

I received an email this morning with an apology stating there is no reason that my driveshaft should have been there so long. It was finished this morning and shipped out today. I was given a $75 credit for waiting so long.

Nice to hear they took care of you. I think I'm sending my MMC shaft to http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/ I haven't used them but hear they are good, and they balance at 10,000 rpm.

Final outcome: While I had issues with the length of time it took to get new u-joints then the drive shaft balanced, Dynotech did the right thing, they deducted $75 off my bill and returned my drive shaft to me in like new condition. They cleaned it up and polished it, the balance is perfect, and I am now a happy customer.

I have, with much willpower, refrained from chiming in here with smart-assy comments. But now it's too much and I can't hold back any longer.

I'm very glad that they cleaned and polished your shaft, you're Comin' in hot, and in the end you got the shaft (back). :D
