Anyone ever use one of these?
I can hear my belt slip and my boost is down.
My belt is new and tight and my tensioner is new from ford.

For what it cost why not just get your self a Thump tensioner ?

Yesterday I was under the hood of my MM04 and noticed the belt tensioner was moving back and forth as the car was on at Idol is that normal?

Yes...to a degree.

Why do you think your tensioner is the problem?

I'm open to suggestions.

Well there are other things to look at, check thoroughly for belt alignment. I have seen 17psi on our stock tensioner.

I think it is the smaller 360 pulley (12 psi) and I would like to bump up to a 15 psi if its available but my boost is only around 8 psi right now.
Ambient temps are about 114 for the last few weeks so I will let the weather cool down a bit to get a better boost reading. Also my engine size is now 5.0 which will lower boost a bit. The belt squeak when I let off makes me believe I may be loosing boost due to slippage as well.

10% overdriven balancer is what you need.

Thanks...I assume they are easy to get?

Innovators west and ATI sells them. It will give you around 3-5psi gain.

My accessory tensioner is causing squeal after I suddenly let off WOT. I was gonna look into seeing if Thump has that as well. Been pretty happy with the blower tensioner.

Attached is a picture of my belt tensioner (2W7Z6B209AA), which I've replaced four times. Anybody know if there's a billet replacement? (Thump RRR won't fit - we're already been writing each other.)

Looking at it today, doesn't look like I could put a larger diameter balancer on it as the pulley above it is very close.

I have a 15% od balancer which is 7.5" in diameter my water pump pulley is a tad smaller than the stock one but it fits!;)

A 10% OD will fit without a problem. If you still have the stock WP pulley take it to a machine shop so they can shave the lip and your good to go.

Just machine the lip on the WP pulley. The Thump may require spacers for the S/C braket off the TC to fit. Many 8 ribs space off the TC so they already have the clearance.

Exactly!!!!!! thats what i ended up doing spacing the S/C bracket from the timing cover for three reasons
allowing the needed clearence for the 8 rib pulleys that sit behind the s/c bracket.
Clearence for the Thump Tensioner pulley
And last but not least to line up the 8 rib s/c pulley with the 8 rib engine pulleys.

Anyone have the diameter of the stock crank pulley?

Stock crank pulley is 6.5, 10% od is 7.25, 15% od is 7.5".

Thanks, I want to measure mine to see if it is the stock crank pulley and not a under drive pulley I use to have installed.
I'm trying to figure out why my boost is low.

Ambient daytime temps are down to about 100 degrees now and the car is now making 12 psi. Car never ran so good. I drove it Saturday morning (temp was about 85) and man oh man this thing is an animal.
Next stop is either a smaller ProCharger pulley or bigger crank pulley. I would like to be at least 15psi.

Go with a bigger crank pulley. More area for better belt traction.
