Just wanted to say hi officially. I have already spoken to a number of members during my search. In fact, I bought my 2003 300b from one of the members here.

Everyone around here has been really helpful, and friendly so far. Thank you again to all who helped in the search.

Here are a couple of pics of the new ride.

Welcome to the site! We have a dozen or so active NorCal members here that like to get together. Last one being early spring - time for a summer GTG I think.

check the west coast section as we post up there with past events you can browse - http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32

Cheers,
Brian

Thanks Brian,

Got you friend request, and accepted already. Also clicked on the "join group" for the NorCal group. Thanks for the invite.

On a side note, I don't know if any of the NorCal group attends this event, but I have been a few times in the past and it is fun. (smallish show, but good group, and in a really nice area.)

Congrats!

I actually did have to go out of state. Bought it in Seattle, Wa. Flew in at 8:00 AM struck the deal, on the road at 9:00 drove 826 miles home, pulled in the driveway at 10:45 PM! If you do the math that's a 60 mph avg, including stops for gas, food, and "personal needs." (On a side note, the Black Bear Diner in Grants Pass, Oregon has a really clean bathroom 😄)

Wow sounds like you really wanted one! I found mine searching for a replacement for my 2000 Mustang GT and was set to buy a 2004 crown Vic lx sport with sunroof black but found a Marauder in the same city Alameda. It worked out because the owner was a mile away from a meeting I had to attend. Needless to say I saw the Marauder and bought it on the spot I never did look at the CV LX Sport as the Marauder was so badass looking I had to have it.

That is awesome. I'm glad it was easier for you. I looked at 5 in the bay area and they were all really badly misrepresented. (claims of no accidents, but signs of obvious repair work.

I was getting discouraged so I threw out a plea for help here. The members responded like champs. 4 offers in 1 week, all really nice cars. The deciding factor was a combination of mileage, originality, and geography.

Wish I could have found a local car like you, but in the end no complaints it worked out.

Now I just need to work on the damn alternator whine!

I bought mine from Detroit ... yeah, locally I could not find what I wanted.
As for alternator whine, sounds like UDP's are in your future ...

I got mine in Feb of 2006. Future Ford of Concord. Did not have a good experience with that dealership so its on my "stealerships" list since. But all these years later, the car was worth it.
