on the upper intake there are 2 coolant lines that run to the fitting for the crank case vent on the pass side valve cover is there any benefit to bypassing that fitting i.e. cooler intake temps or does it not effect anything enuff

If you are talking about the 2 little hoses on the upper intake hat, those are to heat up the oil blowby from the PCV system. If you were running a catch can, you could by pass those to lines and plug them off and have lower IATS. ;)
