My '04 sport's interior rear reading lamps in the headliner work just fine, but on occasion they move ever so slightly and wont come on when the door is opened. If they are off and I push them they move slightly and start to function as normal. After a few weeks they move again and won't come on. Anyone have a fix for this?

Same this happens to me once in a while. Haven't found a cure yet either...

Same issue with the SB. Might try and slip a thin piece of cardboard like from a cereal box in the crack to tighten it up.

Seems to be a pretty common issue. How do the lenses come off to get in the inner workings of the light assembly?

They just clip in to the body. Look for the seam.

Ok, I took off the lens and took the bulb out. I assume the contacts are under (or above) the part that rotates. How does that piece come off?

No one knows how the rotating part comes out?

Very few of us have seen the back seat of our MM's, and those who have WANT the light to be off. :woof:

I believe the assembly unclips from the support.

There. Problem solved.
I've been meaning to take the bulbs out of mine.
I'm tired of this happening too.
