Honestly, it's the best theming I've ever seen in a land at Disneyland, California Adventure or other Disney parks. When you are in Carsland, you have no idea that there is another Park that surrounds you (i.e., California Adventure).

I think I'm going to toss that Firestone Firehawk tires I have and try some Fettuccine Alfredos. Maybe the "Glidewell" model.
And definitely use "Quality Oil" instead of the Red Line Synthetic I currently use. I think I can buy it where they sell Butte Gas.

Looks like you had a good time, did you go on any of the rides?

Yes. Friday night was a reunion of my old crew at Disneyland (Security 77-81), which was the main reason I went (I also worked on the "Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad" from 72-76, but they have never had a reunion).
In Carsland, I went on Radiator Springs Racers, and Luigi's Flying Tires. Didn't have time for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Had coffee at Flo's V-8 Cafe. Had lunch at Carthay Circle Theater (on Buena Vista Street) - wow! Talk about "Old Hollywood!" Also went on Soarin' for old times sake.
In D-Land, went on Star Tours v.2 (exceptional), Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, the steam train (excuse me, the "Disneyland Railroad"), Small World, and Alice in Wonderland (because I hadn't been on it since I was about 12). Saw Fantasmic. Dinner at Napa Rose (in the Grand Californian Hotel) with a very old friend. Did a lot of shopping.
Left Friday morning, back home Sunday night.
For a time, both my father (who had just retired from teaching) and I both worked at the Park at the same time (Dad on the Steamers, me in Security), so the year after he passed I bought us a brick on the Esplanade (between the entrances of D/L and C/A) as a remembrance. Still there.

Wow ... it just opened on 15 June so you got in before the first month was over. We were out there in Oct-Nov 2008 and the 12 acre expansion for Cars Land was still parking lots. Behind the "Tower of Terror" and "Bugs World" in California Adventure. Guess we'll have to reschedule another trip for the grandson .... he is really into the "CARS" experience.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

I inadvertently did that with EPCOT, too, in November 1982.

My parents drove my sisters and me out to California from the Midwest on many a summer vacation when I was in elementary school. We always went to Disney Land and Knotts Berry Farm. We absolutely loved it! It is one of my most cherished memories. Would love to go back. Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for posting, Mark!

I have an annual passport to Disneyland, so when my blackout days are over I plan on seeing Cars Land
