I have a 03 300A my alarm key pad will lock, unlock, pop my trunk and the panic button works. But when the car is locked, if you unlock the door manually and open it, the alarm will not engage. I was wondering if our cars had a valet option with the alarm? Or if there is another easy fix... I have to take it in to the dealer to have them retrieve my door key pad code from my computer. That's already going to cost me $50.00. So if I can solve this problem myself I could save some cash. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pull off the drivers side door panel to get the code off the module. $50.00 saved!

There is no valet option.

I'm confused...are you talking about a dealer-installed alarm, because the MM doesn't have a "stock" alarm system.

Mine has a Ford alarm system that was in the car from the dealer.

Didn't think of that. That's why I always ask everyone on here first. Good looking out! Thanks

our keypad are stricly lock, unlock open trunk pretty much sounds normal to me and yes take the door panel half way off and your codes are all right there. it took me 10 mins to get panel off get my code and put back on.

saved 50.00 bucks and gas money going to a place for them to do that for you and saved your time, only takes 10 minutes

Took the door panel off and looked at the module but there is no kind of sticker or anything from what I could see. ???

Owners manual also came with a card with the factory codes. There may also be a sticker with the code on the trunk underside.

My sticker was on the outside of the lower part of the left side trunk hinge.

Apparently, it is up to the dealer to place one of the stickers from the owners manual on the trunk interior; there aren't any stickers in the trunk on the Marauder I drive, but the stickers were included w/ the owners manual. Trunk placement must be a recommended location since my friends old Town Car and his fathers current Town Car have the stickers on the left trunk hinges.

Please share w/ the class where the VIN # is located besides under the bottom left corner of the windshield!
