Second tank since the trans was done, I filled her as soon as I left justbob&justmels' mini meet last nite.
This tank yeilded 307.5 on 18.00X gallons, 297.6 when the feed me lamp came on. A solid 17 MPG no highway
I still have been having my fun going wot but limiting it to a little less frequently.
I have no doubt I will continue to get improved mileage over the slipping stocker.

That's pretty amazing Brad. I never got a chance to feel it yesterday. :(

Sent from my Ally while ruling the world from my toilet.

It's all in the Tune!

Will the non-believers chime in and call for you to burn at the stake?

I have not re-tuned since the trans upgrade, I would have done this sooner had I known how well mannered & more go go- it would be.

What did you have done to the transmission ?

40 K trans cooler , tailshaft forced lube mod, overhaul kit by transtar,Fully custom BOC 3600-3800 stall tripe plate convertor; all parts came from Blue Oval Chips Inc., except parts found worn during rebuild not supplied with overhaulkit.
The trans guy replaced both accumulators & replaced missing springs (Jmodded) W/ Mustang springs , sungear, reienforced the accumulator 1-2 for the seperator plate not to get dented from firm shifts. Some other little parts too.

Last tank did 50 miles on the expressway 305.4miles before seeing low suds lamp on 18.667 gallons achieved 315.4 miles of pure driving enjoyment.
Ask The guy in black G35 who saw two tons of shiney black steel, line up behind him at the right lane , give him the roll and tootle past (him at wot from jump )as his lane started to thin:P

My TC softened the shifts so no need for springs on mine.

That's why my advice to you was to wait till you saw how it felt without springs and the stall.
I'll probably take the soft Mustang springs out on the first pan drop.
Springs are for sissys:lol:

Yep. I LOVE my new tranny setup. Burnouts are so freakin easy now. Got 23 on the highway to Michigan. Around town? Maybe.......2.

Seems the real percieved hit on MPG with high stall is city driving, your comment is testimony.:coolman:
