Everyone pretty much makes parts for them. Im not cracking the motor on this one like i did with the Vette. Long tubes, cat back, intake and tune will put 400 on the pavement from what ive read. Little suspension tweaking and a nice set of VMR _v710 in 19x9 should do the trick.

Little suspension tweaking and a nice set of VMR _v710 in 19x9 should do the trick. those motors also take nitrous very well, I installed a nitrous kit and timing tuner box in an 05 GTO (same platform) last week, tested it at the dragstrip tonight and it picked up 10-13 mph in the 1320. All for less than a grand including installation

Too bad Pontiac is no more; I miss the Firebird TA. The GXP is the one with 6.2 LS3 that I would love to buy for a daily.

Its the 6.0L. Ill post up some pics as soon as i get to a computer. Im doing this all on my phone. Prob be some time tom. Pontiac is dead but the GT platform lives in the new Caprice. Pretty much the same thing, so.hopefully that will hope sourcing parts in the future

Loved it, but not as my primary car. Wife that cant drive a manual , 2 large dogs and a 10 year old daughter made it a little impractical. Fast, fun and handled like a gokart but there is something about the muscle sedans that always draw me back in.

Awesome. Holden sure made some nice cars with the Monaro, Commodore, etc.

Love those G8 GTs. They seem like the ultimate muscle sedan, without going overboard on something like a CTS-V or G8 GXP ($$$). Congrats!

Not sure if it was a Hasbrouk Heights police car, but it was going down the main HH street (coming from the other direction; quick pass by).

There are some Caprices available to public, check your area autotrader.com I see a dozen or so available within Ohio. And in I think it is 2014, Chevrolet will be bringing in what they call the SS model and marketed to public.

Man Chevy should have been and had a G8 sedan vehicle in there lineup, I think it was pretty damn dumb to only have RWD sedans for Caddilac and Buick but NONE for the bowtie ....GT8's are dope.

The SS is pretty much the publics caprice more or less. Upgraded cosmetics. Ut still.pffered with same 6.0.

The G8's are a great muscle sedan. A friend of mine has a dark charcoal '08 G8 GT. It's a ton of fun to ride around it, wickedly fast and full of cool features. I still prefer the Marauder in terms of overall looks, design & size, but the G8 GT is by far the quicker car and is a very credible sports sedan.
