Will someone send me two good videos of mainly stock exhaust just with aeros on and maybe one of the same car without cats? Im in the middle about getting my cats removed. Just want an easy comparison. Thanks!!:help:

All those cars have more done to them or just one of what im looking for. Im really looking for the same camera, same car just one with and without rear cats and the aeros on both. Just seein if anyone has those....im sorry to be picky but its such a hard choice for me.

Rear cats removed, Aeros and res-delete tips. Everything else was stock in the video. At a certain rpm range there was interior drone but it was pretty brief. With the rear cats in place the car will be quieter, remove them and the car will be louder.

I did upgrade to a full 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust from the stock exhaust manifolds to the tips, two 200-cell magnaflow cats, custom H-pipe and carried over the mufflers and tips. Car is retarded loud now which makes me drive easier since I got a ticket for the exhaust being too loud last month. lol

I don't like the raspy sound either but if thats the case keep your cats. Minis cats it has more bark, raspy and louder.

Even without the rear cats it doesn't have a raspy sound. A lot of the raspy sound can be produced by the mid pipe, H has a low end rumble sound where X has a raspy sound but more heard towards the mid-high rpm range.

This is what mine currently sounds like with a 90% full exhaust system, only thing that is stock is the exhaust manifolds. The sound is more like a deep throaty bellowing exhaust note.

Well mine has a raspy sound at wot with a H and 2 cats other then that it rumbles.

The main cause of a raspy exhaust is turbulence or disruptions in exhaust flow.

This may be a dumb question but im new to this... can you take the resonators off the stock pipes?.. if not where can i buy the meg tips i keep hearing about thanks!

You can remove the resonator from the factory tip, just need to find good welder who will do it.

What exactly do they do to remove this

Cut open the back of the tip, knock out the resonator inside and then re-weld where they cut the tip open.

Will that cause any damage to the tips or make it sound any different then if i were to buy tips without a resonator..??
