I'm replacing the hinge on the driver's side. I just purchased the bottom hinge from a ford dealer in my area. I'm planning to prime and paint it this weekend.

I asked the parts dept about DTR touch up paint in a can and the only thing he says is available are the small bottles with the little brush (like nail polish) to cover up small areas. I really don't want to spend a small fortune to have someone mix the right color. Does anyone know of a good substitute (paint code) available in a spray can at my local FLAPS or dealer that would work? Since it's a hinge, a slight shade off would be acceptable for me.

Thanks!

Duplicolor comes to mind, you should be able to find something close to the factory color.

My brother found this for me. I will find out where he found it. I'm sure they can do any color. This is a 7.5 oz spray can mixed with my color.

The color code is JL.
Some ahole keyed my car and long story short..my cousin who works at a carmax got me a small bottle of the paint and I took that to a Body shop and they touched it up pretty well. The bottle is Like 2x bigger than a nail paint bottle. Just FYI

Thanks all for the tips. I think I'll give McHenry's a shot. After thinking about it overnight, I realized if it wasn't DTR, I'd notice it every time I got in & out of the car. It would drive me nuts!
