Been Awhile (Charlotte, NC)

I was on here back in the day, used to have a 2003 then had issues with dealer so I told 'em to take it back after about 2 weeks. I hung around for a bit then just kind of veered off. I just recently sold the car in my avatar and am driving a 96 F150(long been paid for) and thinking of what to get next but not for sometime. Another Marauder is right up there as I really love the cars, did a quick search and found 3 around my area, 1 with 81K miles and the other two had 100+k miles. I am sure the motors are pretty strong so mileage is not a big issue but who knows how previous owners took care of them.

Figured I'd make my way back on here and do some looking around again and re-introduce myself

Welcome back, Beamer. I'm going to be in the Charlotte area from Sunday until midday Tuesday. I will be going to Russ's (03mmmonroe) place Sunday to replace spark plugs and have my SS brake lines installed and maybe a few other things. I sent Tom (Marauderman) a message to let him know I'll be in town, but haven't heard back from him.

If you'd be interested in getting together for a beer or whatnot, let me know...I wouldn't mind going back to TK or go to Bikinis to see what I missed back in May...

And thats cool, I kind of miss Bikini's. Definitely beats hooters in the eye candy department but I have not been there in a couple years. Not sure what I'm getting into, aka what I am working yet though, normally get stuck working sundays and might be able to do something mon or tues but again, work really loves to stick it too me.

As for getting a Marauder again, if I can find one down the road for the right price I might jump. Kind of want to enjoy not having a car payment for awhile though.

What were the issues you had with the MM you bought? Just curious....

I'm free Sun or Mon night...I'll be at my Dad's place in Belmont during the day Monday. Bikinis is closer to my Mom's place (where I'll be staying), so would be more interested going there, but I won't be disappointed with the TK. Will be leaving early afternoon Tues to come back here...

The dealer said they had me the deal I wanted and instead of just saying they would not know till end of weekend they let me leave the lot without an approval. Then I guess during the week, even after I went back 3 days later to give rest of my down payment, they still were trying to get me the loan and then finally called me in to re sign papers for a "better" deal. I looked everything over and did not like what I saw and said I want the deal you said I had or you can take back the car, give me my money back and my lincoln. They gave me the run around with my down payment until I threatened to give someone a call. Needless to say I got my car and money back and not too long after the dealer closed up(was a lincoln dealer).

They are high priced for what they offer--depends on the mileage though sometimes and your desire-$$$

Yea, that is why I said I did not know about them, some of their stuff seems to be over priced. I believe it was just under $14k and had like 81k miles. Basically comes down to the miles for me and as cheap as possible without it needing anything done because I sold my Balt SS do to the payment, I do not want a big payment if I go with another car. I am pretty much putting myself on lock down in the car department, I want to be able to do stuff again haha. Reason it got tight is I bought a home a couple years ago, that changes priorities abit :)

That's understandable. It has been 9 yrs. of being car payment free b/4 getting my Marauder. Had a good deal on the purchase price & the financing as well when I decided to "drop the hammer" & join the monthly car note club. :burnout: :burn:
