Just to tantalize, I'm waiting to hear from a local Ford dealer on I believe 03 MM with only 2K on the clock that maybe, just maybe, on the market soon. Its a local car that I did not know existed and has not been registered in two years. I have never seen this car on the road. It is apparently the real just driven to church on Sundays deal. Always garage kept by an older gentleman. Thats all I know about it. They are being tight lipped as they want the car. They have sold a number of MMs so they know what it is. They would not talk price untill they have it. As of yesterday the gentleman still had not decided if wanted to sell. They were the selling dealer, regularly serviced there. FWIW, they are the only people I trust with my DTR.
I will post here if it does go up for sale.

Stupid thought here. If it's got 2000 miles on it, it couldn't have been serviced much at the dealer.

use your skills and track down the owner.. give him a door knock.. you probably have a better off than the dealer anyway

Tires may have dry rot. That was an issue with Eric's car. It was still on it's original OEM tires 8 years later.

As I said they are being very tight lipped on the car. They know what they'll have and its value. Jeff (co-owner) did tell me that the guy brought it in once a year for maintenance, until he took it off the road. I have a inkling he knows what he has too or they would have already bought it. My educated guess is "Vern", Jeff's dad, is lowballing the guy. He tried that on me a few months back when he thought he was getting my MM. Great service after the sale, but can be difficult to buy from. Thats how I ended up with a new Sorrento instead of a used Flex. If I don't hear anything by next week, I'll try to contact the owner and see if he interested in listing it here.
I'm not personally interested in buying it.

Uhm, possibly more as its stock and supposedly cherry. As long as we keep low selling ourselves, these cars will just depreciate like a CV or GM. Thats a real shame on a 11,052 build over two years.

I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted double that... $20k for a marauder with 2k miles on it? that would be a steal.

They DO depreciate just like other cars. If the Marauder ever does reach collector car status, it's gonna be a ways down the road.

True story. Even an MM with 10 miles on it likely wouldn't be worth original sticker, not to mention inflation

Well, its not for sale. The car is part of a multi car collection. The guy did not return my call and the Ford dealer is not actively pursuing it. Maybe next year when it comes in for servce?
Sorry to anyone who had a thought of buyng this MM.

I would say that they are at least being thought about already by collectors. I mean, it was Ford's answer to the Impala. The Impala was a collector car almost immediately. My personal belief is that these cars are going to be on there way up in value relatively soon. They are not going to reach ridiculous value tomorrow but they should not drop into the basement either. When we have ours out and about almost every time I hear "man, you don't see many of those" or "thats a rare car" ....I guess time will tell!

Were you able to make contact with him? I spoke with the Ford dealer who is friends with this guy. I told him to tell the gentleman people are interested, but he needs to at least answer his phone calls. Even if he is not interested in selling. That was 4 days ago. Common courtesy. FWIW, my wife knows him and is less than impressed. Sooo...
