Wondering what some of you have used to upgrade the wiring harness to the headlights to improve the lousy Ford light output.
Saw these on Amazon

It probably won't hurt to do the upgrade.
Personally I'd replace the relay inside the LCM with a higher capacity one like the one I do when upgrading the LCM. Some members reported their lights look brighter after the LCM swap.
Also going with 35w HIDs will greatly increase the light output and will put less strain on the LCM relay.

Going to a 35w HID will increase the light output by 3 fold over the stock bulb if you get a color temp of 4300/4500, 5000 or 6000K.

Tried the HID route, the CV headlight housings suck for HID light. As Raven pointed out the MM housing reflectors are much better for HIDs.
I had to point my lights down so far as not to blind folks that it's useless.
Figure installing a better harness and by passing the LCM along with quality bulbs will help allot.
Thanks for the suggestion, I greatly appreciate the help!

Just a thought but the retrofit kit runs around $200 I believe, if you wanted to try the retrofit yourself...I believe its supposed to be pretty decently easy. That would give you projectors, for much less than 1k...just an option. www.theretrofitsource.com

it's nice to know other people care about not blinding on-coming drivers.
I put a relay kit in and now I don't have to worry about my LCM ever burning up since it only sends power to the relays. I have over 14 volts going to the Philips X-treme Power bulbs so light output is fantastic.

I've had my MM for four years and in that time I have never felt the lighting was inadequate.
Then again I'm half the age of most of you guys :D

Have you drive an MM at night with HIDs?
If you have you'll see just how inadequate the stock or Silverstar bulbs are.

I haven't. They're annoyingly bright when they are in an oncoming vehicle or someone directly behind me, so I choose not to annoy other drivers.
