Well... the other day just noticed my OD suddenly became slow to apply. Before it would apply pretty fast/firm. Tried to change fluid out with no luck. 1, 2, 3 shifts are perfectly fine, lockup is fine, OD is just slow, but once shifted into OD it holds perfectly with 0 slip.

Also who's bright idea was it to put the crossmember where it is where you can't access the back bolts of the pan?

This car has a B&M Trans pan on it... that pan won't come off without moving the cross member, no way to get a ratchet in there.

Tried to change fluid out with no luck.Do you mean you couldn't change the fluid or that changing the fluid didn't help?

Also, I don't understand why you can't get to the back bolts. Lots of members have aftermarket pans and I don't think they all had to remove the crossmember to install them. Have you tried using a wobble?

For the back bolts use a deep socket, 1/4" drive?

Yes by changing fluid out it didn't change anything. I cant remember if its the front or the back, but the space between the bottom of the pan and the edge of the crossmember is literally 1/4 of an inch, no way to get a socket or anything in there. They used allen style bolts.

I don't have the car up in the air now, should have snapped a picture.

I'll put the car up on stands again this weekend and attempt to get the pan off. I noticed it has a transmission cooler and I believe it has an inline filter down on the passenger side on one of the rubber hoses that goes to the cooler. Not sure what type of filter this is... looks similar in size to a fuel filter hopefully it is meant for transmission fluid.

Looks like I'll have some troubleshooting to do.

Do want to add the car is daily driven, I very rarely put the hammer down for WOT and 1st shift is very firm solid/will still chirp tires, 2nd shift is the same, 3rd and lockup are fine.

^^^ Yeah I'll look at it tonight and cross reference the part # to see if a local store has one around me and swap that out real quick so see if there is any change.

Edit: add, fluid is still bright red and not burnt at all.

I doubt that filter is going to be the problem. They have an internal bypass so even if the media was clogged it won't interrupt the flow.

Ass-uming it is in fact a Magnefine. If someone just put an ordinary filter there, all bets are off.

Yeah I'm stumped. If all else fails I'll just let it blow up. I did put the gear selector in 2nd to start in 2nd manually and it held fine as well, read on another forum to try that.

sounds like the e clip on on the over drive servo may have come off and will hang the servo.
