OK who's gonna be the first to do the whole car in Matte Flat Black? This cost the guy $2400 (Mustang)! Funny I have the same rims on my Marauder Godspeed Omega Deep Dish Matte Black.

yes can be removed easily and wont harm your paint! I am thinking about the carbon fiber pieces in the car too. oh the possibilities. I was thinking if i was to do this i would have the side mirrors and wing carbon fiber....

PlastiDip would be cheaper and can be removed almost as easily.

When will this "make everything flat black" craze die a painful death? Soon, I hope!

I like mine shiny. When I was a teenager a lot of cars drove around with flat black primer, and we couldnt wait to get the car painted proper. Now fast forward 35 years and people are paying to make their shiny cars flat black...WTF?

^^^^^ I was thinking the same thing! ;)

I like the flat black look on retro stuff, but I'm kinda a shiny car guy, too.

There's a guy around here on Craigslist that offers a $200 flat black paint job for any vehicle.. And I've seen some really nice looking shiny cars get painted by this guy.. Including a brand new SS Camaro that lives close by me... $200 paint job on a $35,000+ car... :dunno:

Not quite sure I understand it either.. I'm with you, I like having my car shine!

I saw some one here that did the plastidip to their car....it actually looked pretty good and said it cost about 300 bucks and 5 hours to do.

Wrap is available in ALL colors, not just flat black.
This is cool! Could be the end of body shop paint jobs!
A person can change the color of their car anytime they want.
When it is damaged or a wear issue arises, zip bang, all fixed with no paint.
It does no damage to the paint under it (actually protects the paint).
Any color &/or patterns, designs, etc. starting around $2500 to do vs. $8000+ for a paint job...

Dream on. Flat/matte black will never die. Some cars just look better that way than shiny.

I can't help but always think matte-looking cars are currently undergoing bodywork and are waiting for their final coats. Just doesn't look right to me.

I like shiny objects. ;)
