Well today I went to get my ANNUAL tire & oil change.

Had new rears put on. Had the fronts rotated. And got my oil changed with Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W-20 and Mobil 1 filter.

The fronts have 30K miles on them and still look great!
I wonder why I can't get this type of mileage out of the rears???

Well its the truth. I got less than 3 thousand miles out of set that just came off! :burnout:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to snap a pic of the rears when he pulled them off. They disintegrated!

But they looked like slicks!

I change my oil once a year even though I drive less than 3 thousand miles.

No wonder they're so easy to spin, those are "space saver" sized. TWSS

I'm thinking some kind of alignment problem, probably between the left foot and the loud pedal.

Do any of you guys put tape on the car or use mudflaps or anything to keep the car clean while doing all these burnouts?

Otherwise, is the stuff hard to clean off the car?

Nope, but I can drive down to your place and stripe the street in front of your house, even better, the neighbors would think it was you doing burnouts.

Get this I was due for 4 new tires. My tire guy talked me into Nitto Motivo performance tires. They come with a 60 K mile warranty against wear??? I don't race the car so I will find out if the dreaded center tread wear goes away?? Otherwise I guess Nitto will be buying me some new rubber every 2 years!!!

Goodyear Eagle series tires are very good on the Marauder, the tread holds up quite nicely to wheelspin. Doom, even at 3000 miles you're probably getting much more longevity out of those than other brands would give you!

You should start a "street rubberizing" program to offset the costs of the tires. For a measly fee you can lay rubber on anyone's driveway or front street, so it looks like their car is the fast one.

Do it to someone who has a smartcar in the driveway! :D
