Just last night my check engine light flicked on. I pulled the codes and its my O2 sensor. Looking to replace it by tomorrow.
If there's a thread shoot me the link please. Any replacement instructions written and or pictures are much welcomed and needed. This is my first time change so I want to make sure I get it right on the first time.
MM Experts only please!!

if im correct our car has 4 total 02 sensors..2 right there off the manifolds and 2 right by the cats
so first you have to figure out what one is bad when i had one go bad i was told i should just replace all 4 sonce there are not very expensive.
that way is easier than figuring out what one is bad out of the 4

BK, what was the actual code? Just because it refers to the sensor doesn't mean the sensor itself is the cause of the problem.

I cleared theme but there was 4 codes two said O2 sensor the other two said bi lean. The codes repeated themselves but with different P numbers. I should have written them down but once I read the O2 sensor codes I had in my mind that's all I needed.
@410 I'd rather change all 4 and get it out the way!!!

+1 on what RF Overlord stated.
Maybe you can wait for the check engine light to illuminate again to get the codes and then look into what each is.

Only need to do the front two. Rear O2's merely measure efficiency. It's rare for both to go bad. Lean means there is too much oxygen in the fumes. You MIGHT have a loose coupler or something on the air intake. Check all hoses etc first.
Near 100,000 miles O2 sensors should be changed, not sure where you are.
One of them is hard to change, can't remember which. Take a 7/8" open ended wrench and unthread the Drivers side front O2 (front is closer to engine) Fish wire out from above (engine bay) Pull on 02 wire to lift connected sensor out. Disconnect old and trash it. Connect new one to connector, then lower it down with protective cap still on. (remove right before install)
Pretty easy, I could change both primaries in about 10 minutes.
Good luck.

That's about it. The two in the manifolds, I would change both and leave the ones in the cats. There is an O2 sensor socket but all it is, is that there is a cut out down the length of the socket to accommodate the wire coming out the top of the sensor. I use a crow’s foot but an open end wrench should do just fine. Ford employee price for the front O2s are $60.72 each Canadian and $70.12 each for the cats. I’m ordering mine tomorrow. Good luck and don’t drop them, that can damage them.

Please give me some insight on removing the O2 sensor on the passenger side. I was out there for 25 minutes and it is still on the car. I don't see how an open end wrench gets in that tight area. Do I need to go thru the plastic wheel well liner? I'm thinking of pulling the exhaust pipe. What is the trick with stock exhaust.

Go buy an O2 socket. Makes life easier.
