Is there anyone that is around the Wheeling, WV area that I would be able to hook up with to get my cobra cams installed? Too big of a project for me to handle and I hate looking at them just sitting there. WV,PA,or OH area? Thanks

What is the average time it takes to do a cam swap with the engine in? I've only done 4V cam stuff with the engines out.

Installing the cam's are not that bad. Did mine over a weekend. I have getting down to the cams in just over 1.5 hrs. Cam installs first time 2hrs and put the covers back on. I am looking for Todd help to degree the cams and I will R&R the covers and other items etc.
PM me if I can help.

If you are not degreeing the cams then NO. If the job is done at Todd’s front cover will be removed.

So you just installed dot to dot? How did it perform after the cams?

I installed the adjustable cam gears 4 degree advance and pick up 20 ft. lb. more torque from 4200 thru 6000 rpm. Putting out just under 330 at the rear wheels. Still would like to get the cam degree to help the lower end lost a little down low.

Are the front cam gears pressed on or bolted? Also what gears did you go with?

The gears are bolted on. Same cam gears that have been talked about a few times the Cloyes Gear S790hp9 and the woodruff key P9139. You will need a new cam bolt for the cobra cams they are differant from marauder intake cam. Just go to your ford dealer mine stocked the bolts if i remember corecty they are the same a the crank bolt.

I'd almost rather have it the other way. What cams could one get for a Marauder that would add 20 ft lb. at 2000 to 4500?

Installing the cobra intakes at 106 will do what you want.

Anyone have a link for a kit to degree the cams? I will have a engine that I'm looking into playing with on a stand and I wanna learn how to degree the cams myself so I can do it on my own car or offer it as a service to local members.
